Protecting the environment is easier said than done.
What a single person does often seems to make no impact. With a Dachs, every present and future house owner can reduce the load on the environment from carbon dioxide – the "greenhouse gas" – by 47 percent (approx. 20 tons per year) compared to conventional generation of heat and electricity: The benefits of this personal contribution are notable for both the environment and your bank balance.
Efficient use of energy
The Dachs conserves valuable energy resources: When electricity is generated in large-scale power stations, the heat produced in the process is lost. Heat for heating purposes has to be produced anew in each building by a heating system. The Dachs transforms up to 90 percent of the primary energy input into electricity and heat. This heat is used directly to heat the building.
Environmental relief
By the way: The reduction of carbon dioxide output achieved with the Dachs goes even further than the plans of the German government, which wants to lower carbon dioxide emissions by 25 percent in the period through 2005.
German legislation will continue to promote the use of ecological energy systems in the future too.
